Watch this clip. This is a perfect example of the generation gap between older black people and the new generation. Beyond the ill attempts to humiliate eachother I felt nothing but disbelief for how the judge handled the young man. Of course the defendant could have perhaps tried to avoid the use of common urban venacular, but that does not give the judge the right to publically reprimand the young man. It appears that Judge Joe Brown "wrote-off" the young man as soon as he opened his mouth, as he describes him as a "hood rat".
